Website privacy

This notice covers the Vanperience project website at vanperience.de and www.vanperience.de, as well as its previous addresses camperpilot.eu and www.camperpilot.eu. It does not describe processing within the iPhone or vehicle app.

Visiting the website

The site is hosted on a Hetzner server in the EU. Delivering the pages requires processing connection data, including your IP address and requests sent by your browser. This supports secure and reliable delivery of the website, based on our legitimate interest in providing it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

A continuous log of all page requests is not enabled for this website. Technical operation and error messages may appear in system logs. These are not used for visitor analytics; retention depends on troubleshooting and system security, together with automatic, storage-limited log rotation. There is no separately configured fixed number of days for these system logs. Hosting provider information: Hetzner privacy policy.

No analytics or advertising services

This website does not set cookies or use browser local storage. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Images, app screenshots and visual assets load from our own web server. Maps shown in screenshots are image files, not embedded live maps. Visiting the page therefore does not send a map request or device location to a map provider.

Email enquiries

Contact links open your email application; there is no contact form. When you send a message, we process your email address, message and any details you provide to handle your enquiry. Our project mailbox is hosted by STRATO. Depending on the enquiry, processing is based on steps towards a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (point (f)). Correspondence is retained as needed to handle the enquiry and meet any applicable statutory retention requirements.

Your rights

Subject to the relevant legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability. Where processing relies on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may complain to a supervisory authority, such as LDI North Rhine-Westphalia. Please use the contact address above for requests.

Further information

This website has no user accounts, photo uploads or automated decision-making. Community features described on it are planned, not activated on this website. The older vehicle app has its own separate privacy notice. This website notice is not a substitute for the iPhone app’s privacy information.
